What is your educational background?
Matt attended Lee University, where he received his BA History, and continued his studies at Lee, where he received his MA in Educational Leadership.
What strengths do you bring to the Emerald team?
With more than 10 years of experience in the construction industry, Matt brings a broad project background spanning singlefamily renovations, historic rehabilitation and reuse, newconstruction student housing, car dealerships, and senior living facilities—including several projects that achieved energy and environmental certifications. His ability to guide owners, developers, and architects from concept to completion makes him a strong asset to the Emerald Sales Team.
What is your proudest project moment, and why?
Helping the Karam Senior Living Project, in Cleveland, OH, receive LEED Silver certification. The Karam Senior Living Project is an affordable housing project that is attached to the Walz Cleveland Public Library branch. Built concurrently, this project brings much needed senior, affordable living to the near West side of Cleveland, as well a new library and community resource center.
