Jacob Hilston

What is your educational background?

I graduated from Cleveland State University in 2009 with a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering Technology. 

What strengths do you bring to the Emerald team? 

I bring 14 years of experience in MEP design and fieldwork, with some previous experience with energy modeling. I am able to provide a resource to bridge together the knowledge of MEP design documentation and field experience and apply that to assist in energy modeling and LEED documentation. 

What is your proudest project moment, and why? 

There was a project that involved new RTU and VAV installations. On three separate occasions, I was asked to come out to assess some issues they were having with the RTU. I was able to, through document interpretation and field assessment, determine the causes of the issues and provide direction for correction of the issues.
