Tri-C West Campus Science Building

Project Overview

Cuyahoga Community College West Stem IT Building achieved LEED Gold Certification under the v4 BD+C rating system. This 3-story, 85,000 square foot building houses classroom and lab space for the college. The project diverted 81% of construction waste from the landfill and incorporated solar generation with a PV system integrated with the glass atrium. An Exemplary Performance Credit was earned because 31% of materials used contained recycled content. The project added many sustainable features to the design, like a bio-swale to collect rainwater and a biophilic design with its expansive living wall.
