Children's Museum of Cleveland WELL Health-Safety

Project Overview

The Children's Museum of Cleveland achieved LEED Platinum EBOM in 2019 and is now rated WELL Health + Safety as a response to COVID-19. This rating system, developed by the WELL Building Institute is science-based and focuses on the policies and procedures necessary for dealing with crisis, including pandemics and natural disasters. The certification is designed to give a sense of safety for anyone who enters the building, and includes key stakeholders in the activities required to achieve certification. WELL Health-Safety also supports the Museum's ongoing commitment to clean water and air quality and its ongoing measurement and tracking of sustainable building performance. The museum utilized this rating system as a third party verification of their continued dedication to provide a healthy environment for children and families to learn and play.
