Project Overview

Bowling Green's Schmidthorst College of Business is located in the Maurer Center, which achieved LEED Silver certification in February, 2021. The project included a 50,000 square foot addition and complete renovation of the existing Hanna Hall. This state-of-the art facility serves as the gateway to the academic core of the BGSU campus, along the Wooster Street corridor and houses the business school. The large atrium acts as a gathering space for educational and networking events for faculty, staff, students and business professionals. The courtyard and roof deck offer an outdoor meeting space perfect for small events and gatherings. Various conference, collaboration and meeting rooms also provide accessible and functional space for students, faculty, staff, business partners and the community. The new facility features state-of-the-art laboratories and classrooms designed to engage students in an immersive, active learning style.
