The Centers

The Centers is dedicated to changing Northeast Ohio, one life at a time. Each year, it creates transformative solutions for over 20,000 people in Northeast Ohio – no matter their background or current circumstances. In 2023, Emerald will work with The Centers to establish corporate-wide sustainable operations policies and procedures, annual sustainable metrics reporting processes, sustainable design requirements for future renovations, and assess the feasibility of achieving LEED O+M on one of its facilities. The Centers has 10 locations where 550+ passionate employees serve clients.

Hathaway Brown

Hathaway Brown will receive complimentary consulting services to assess and implement certification goals for the 210,223 square-foot building under the LEED Existing Buildings Operation + Maintenance v4.1 rating system (LEED EB O+M). This certification focuses on concepts such as indoor air quality, sustainable purchasing, green cleaning, human experience, ongoing recycling and waste management, energy and water efficiency and sustainable building and grounds maintenance. Being granted certification in LEED EBOM can result in financial benefits to the organization, such as resource consumption savings.

Our first recipient was The Children's Museum of Cleveland, with whom we partnered to deliver their WELL Health-Safety in 2021. The experience was so rewarding for our team that we decided to continue it with an annual winner. We are passionate about this program because we get to live our Core Values by engaging with local communities and non-profit organizations across the nation.
