What is your educational background?
Growing up in Greater Cleveland, I had the opportunity to attend The Mountain School Program (Vershire, Vermont) in high school. Living and studying on the school’s farm, I caught the sustainability bug. That led me to Portland, OR where I achieved a BA in Psychology and Latin American Studies from Lewis & Clark College.
What strengths do you bring to the Emerald team?
20+ years of Marketing and Business Development expertise in the AEC (architecture, engineering, and construction) industry and of course a passion for sustainability. I also have a knack for connecting people. I will work to utilize these qualities to meet Emerald’s goals of enhancing 2,030 environments by the year 2030 though our growing portfolio of projects.

What is your proudest project moment, and why?
In my volunteer role as a member of the USGBC Ohio MLAB (Market Leadership Advisory Board) I am proud of my role to help guide the merger of four chapters into one state-wide chapter with big goals. Having served for years on the Northeast Ohio Leadership team, I am currently a member of the USGBC Ohio MLAB (Market Leadership Advisory Board. In addition, I chair the statewide Development Committee. In this role I am proud of the funding we have secured to enhance our programming for 2022 and beyond!
What is your sustainability goal for 2022?
I pledge to reduce my home’s carbon footprint by choosing appliances that do not use fossil fuels. I have a stretch goal of installing PV on the roof of my home.
